Director of Worldwide Accounting buy in US, Free Classifieds Ads

The Director, Worldwide Accounting will be responsible for both leading the global accounting function and continually improving the procedures, processes and systems to enable Qualys to meet operational, reporting and audit requirements as the company grows. This is a unique position offering greater breadth and career opportunity than traditional accounting roles. This position reports to the VP Finance, Corporate Controller with high visibility to the CFO.
Responsibilities include:
Accounting-focused:
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close;
Oversee consolidation and worldwide compliance, including managing 3rdparty accounting service providers
Ensure the monthly and quarterly account reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner;
Ensure quarterly SOX compliance activities are performed timely;
Own SEC filing documents and the earnings release process with respect to accounting;
Lead GL team in monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews that provide insight into key business drivers that are impacting financial results;
Provide technical and operational accounting guidance related to proposed transactions including acquisitions and potential vendor and customer agreements;Develop and document global business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
Respond to inquiries from finance and companywide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests;
Work closely with internal and external audit functions to ensure compliance and plan for new accounting guidance;
Manage SEC, Technical Accounting, Payroll and GL accounting teams
Process Improvement:
Partner with FP&A and VP, Tax & Treasury to improve system and processes for internal and external reporting
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
Support Corporate Controller (and other departments as appropriate) on special projects and workflow process improvements; and
Other ad hoc responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
BS in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification; Big 4 CPA firm (or regional equivalent) experience required
Minimum 12 years of experience required
Public company experience required including experience with SEC reporting and technical requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley
Experience partnering with FP&A to deliver insightful information
Experience with SaaS or Software company preferred
Experience with NetSuite, Concur and Coupa a plus
Experience working at a multinational organization
